Compare · Plaky

Plaky organizes the tasks.
Roomwork also keeps the conversation, the time and the context.

Plaky is a good fit for teams that want simple, inexpensive boards with table, Kanban and Gantt views. Roomwork is the better fit when the work around the task matters as much as the task: the discussion, the meeting, the hours, the delivery, and an assistant that already knows all of it.

One real scenario

What actually happens in the room

Plan → Talk → Track → Ship → Verify

A task is overdue. In a board tool, someone notices, or someone is chased. In Roomwork, Alva asks the owner for an update, reminds them, and tells the manager if there is still no reply. The discussion, the hours and the answer all sit next to the task, and Rōrk can summarize it all.

Coming from Plaky

The same instincts, connected to the work

What changes

What teams notice after the switch

The conversation stays with the work
Discussion happens in the project room and turns into tasks in one tap, instead of living in a separate chat tool.
Stuck work gets chased for you
Alva follows up on overdue and stalled tasks and tells the manager when nobody answers.
Time is built in
Screenshots every 5 minutes with AI review, budgets with runway alerts, payroll and reports are part of the same workspace, not another subscription.

Questions

Before you switch

Can Roomwork replace Plaky?
For most project teams, yes. Roomwork covers tasks, assignments, statuses and Grid, Kanban and Gantt views. It does not have chart views today, so teams that depend on them should weigh that.
Is Roomwork more expensive?
Roomwork is free with every Paying.co engagement. Plaky has a free plan and low-cost paid plans. Check each vendor's site for current pricing.
Will we lose our boards?
Roomwork does not import Plaky boards automatically. Most teams move active projects over as they start their next phase.
Why does AI-first matter?
In Roomwork, AI answers questions with sources from your own rooms, follows up on stuck work and reviews tracked time. That works because it sits inside the same workspace as the work.
Is Roomwork only for software teams?
No. Rooms, tasks, Jams and time tracking suit any project-based team.

Subscription sprawl

Fewer add-ons. Fewer invoices.

At time of writing

Plaky's Gantt view needs Pro, and time tracking comes through a separate Clockify integration.

Roomwork is free with every Paying.co engagement, and in limited beta for new teams. Chat, Jams, tasks, time tracking, Rōrk, Alva and Sten are built in, not sold as add-ons, so there is no stack of extra subscriptions to stitch together.

Ready when you are

Move from talking about the work to running it in the same room.

Start a room and bring your next project conversation, task, and delivery into one connected place, with AI built in from the start. Roomwork is free with every Paying.co engagement, and in limited beta for new teams. It replaces separate chat, project, issue-tracking, time-tracking and video-calling subscriptions.
