About roomworkA Paying.co platform

One platform for the
whole of the work.

Roomwork is the project platform built by Paying.co. The conversation, the tasks, the calls, the documents, the hours and the delivery all live in one room per project, so the work never has to be carried from one tool to the next.

Developed by Paying.co. Free with every Paying.co engagement, and in private beta by invitation for new teams.

What it is

A room for every project

A project in roomwork gets a room. The team talks there, and so can the people they work for. A message becomes a task in one tap. A quick call starts from the room and is recorded into that room’s own history. Documents and files sit beside the conversation they came from. The hours are tracked against the task they belong to, and the helpdesk inbox turns a customer’s email into a ticket in the same place.

Running through all of it is Rōrk, the AI assistant built into the platform. It answers from the room, catches you up on what changed, and hands questions to specialist agents when they need one. It is part of the platform, not a tool sitting next to it.

One continuous workflow, from the first conversation to the report at the end.

Why we built it

The trouble was never the tools. It was the gaps between them.

Paying.co is a payments engineering firm. Our projects, from EMV certification to custom payment apps, run for months and involve engineers, client teams, test labs and a long trail of decisions. For years that work was spread across a chat app, a tracker, a time tool, a shared drive, an inbox and a pile of meeting notes.

Each tool was fine on its own. The problems lived in the gaps. A decision made in chat never reached the task. Hours were logged in a tool that did not know which conversation they belonged to. The client lived in email while the team lived in chat, and someone had to carry the context between them by hand.

We did not need another tool. We needed the work to stay in one place.

So we built the room we wished we had, first for our own engagements and then for the people we work with. Everything in roomwork exists to keep the context attached to the work, whoever picks it up next.

One platform

Seamless by design, not bolted together

Many project tools become a platform by adding integrations on top. Roomwork was built the other way round.

A stack of bolted-on tools

  • Separate logins, invoices and permissions for chat, tasks, time and docs
  • Integrations that sync some fields, some of the time
  • Context copied from one tool into the next by hand
  • AI added as a side panel to a product designed without it

Roomwork

  • One login and one workspace for the whole project
  • Chat, calls, tasks, documents, time and the helpdesk inbox built together on one data model
  • A message becomes a task, and the task knows the room it came from
  • AI threaded through the platform, from Rōrk to the agents that follow up on stalled work

Roomwork does connect to outside tools where they genuinely help: GitHub pull requests, Figma previews, Flaw.co security scans and AI apps such as Claude through MCP. They extend a room. They are not what holds it together, and roomwork is whole without them.

What we hold to

Three things we will not trade away

Context travels with the work
Every task links back to the conversation it started in, and every conversation links forward to what came of it.
Clients are in the room, safely
The people you work for can be part of the conversation. You choose, message by message, what is shared with them and what stays team only.
AI that follows up
Helpful AI does the chasing, not only the writing. Agents ask owners for updates, flag risk and report back, with their own name on every message.

Questions

About roomwork

What is Roomwork?
Roomwork is a project platform where every project gets a room. The conversation, the tasks, calls, documents and files, time tracking, the helpdesk inbox and the AI assistant all live in that one room, so work does not have to be carried between separate tools.
Who builds Roomwork?
Roomwork is developed by Paying.co (Mojave Payment Technologies, LLC), a payments engineering firm based in Las Vegas with an office in Miami. Paying.co built Roomwork to run its own client engagements and offers it free with every engagement.
Is Roomwork a collection of integrations?
No. Chat, calls, tasks, documents, time tracking and the helpdesk inbox are built together as one product on one data model. Roomwork also connects to outside tools such as GitHub, Figma and Flaw.co, but those extend a room and are not what holds it together.
Can clients be in a room?
Yes. A room can include the people you work for. Each message and file is either shared with them or team only, and you choose which when you post.
How much does Roomwork cost?
Roomwork is free with every Paying.co engagement and is rolling out in a limited private beta, by invitation, for new teams.
Can I connect Claude or another AI app?
Yes. Roomwork has an MCP server that lets Claude and other MCP apps list the rooms you approve and post messages in them. See the MCP server page for the address and the supported commands.
